A financial services company wanted to standardize project management across all lines of business due to a merger. A mandate was set by the Senior Leadership team to develop Project Management Methodology and create a platform that will support the project managers in applying the new methodology and track two dozen projects. Director of Project Management was put in place with the intent to setup a Project Management Office and seek a company with PMO Setup experience.

Solution
Alternative Management partnered with the internal cross-functional executive team including the Director of Project Management to identify existing processes, set policies and develop Project Management Governance. We gathered input, checklists and forms from the Support Services teams. We provided and customized processes and templates and rolled out technology platform using customized EPM templates and provided training. The focus was on positioning for standardizing project management processes and practices across a number of lines across the business to help streamline the merger efforts of the two companies.

Results
Setup a PMO platform in place, client positioned for the current and future state and to implement custom Project Management Methodology including project management policies processes and templates. Ability to track projects on current status, weekly PMO meetings with all project managers and management. Effective process was provided to have clear communication across all lines of business to have a successful merger be met on time.
